“Sight for our Soul”

Exodus 32 “Sight for our Soul”

Wow, where do I start with this rich chapter….I’ll just focus on the first thing the LORD showed me:

Vs 1….“When the people saw”—

The children of Israel where acting on what they “thought” they could “see”. Often times we think that nothing is happening…because we can’t see it…but with God….even when it looks like nothing is happening… …..something is happening.

We can have the eyes of our face wide open, but the eyes of our soul’s shut tight. What we need is “Sight for our Soul” …Moses wasn’t dead, God hadn’t forgotten them. At the same time they were losing hope, God was laying out a plan for not only their life….but all those who would come after them. There is something in our fleshly nature that compels us to want to see and touch before we believe and trust. But God says 2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. I love how the New Living Translation puts it: "That is why we live by believing and not by seeing." 2 Corinthians 5:7

2 Corinthians 4:8 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but
what is unseen is eternal.

God bless your evening, Sharon
